Too many Dallas area seniors don’t have to wonder. Beverly Diggs had no AC in her home that summer. It was so hot she had trouble breathing. For over 15 years, The Senior Source has provided free AC units to low-income seniors to help them keep cool during Texas's blistering hot summers through our Beat The Heat campaign. In June 2022, Annie Shaw received an AC unit from The Senior Source, and it has greatly impacted her quality of life. The one AC unit has kept both rooms in her home cool, allowing her to enjoy the hot summer months.
